Pillows In Paradise

Message: My husband and I traveled to Kailua, Hawai'i on a work trip in March 2023 and Ms. Barbara and Mr. Lionel were such great hosts. This was our first time at a Bed & Breakfast and it was a nice experience! We stayed in the Tropical Studio room. Barbara and Lionel made sure that if we needed anything, our requests were met. Whenever we saw the hosts they were sure to greet us. They didn't hover which was super nice. Mr. Lionel noticed upon our arrival that the extension cord in the room wasn't working so he went out and bought another one, while we were out working the cord was placed on the table in the room, but none of our stuff was touched or moved so we didn't have to worry about any invasions of privacy. The residental area is quiet, you will see lots of neighbors out walking with and without kids and it is a 10 minute walk to the beach which had calm waves! We would recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet place around local residents. We would visit the Bed & Breakfast again!

Message: Recently stayed in the Tropical Studio and had a wonderful stay. Very comfortable space with everything that we needed. Hosts are a wonderful couple who made us feel very comfortable and at home. Will definitely stay again!

Message: The sweetest couple own this place and are so attentive and friendly. The beds are super comfy. It's so quiet and private and better then any hotel. There's a pool and a tropical patio area with lounge chairs and table and chairs with umbrella. The place is so clean and we'll cared for. The owners are on site so if you ever need anything they are right there to help. Wonderful location. A term minute walk to the beach or downtown to restaurants and stores. Bus stop is right around the corner. There room was personalized just for us complete with an unexpected gift basket full of fruit with complimentary coffee and bagels. There's plenty of parking.

Message: Barb and her husband were very friendly and helpful. The place is at a great location - close to the town center with groceries and shops, also very close to the beach (10min drive, prob walkable as well). The room is very clean. Would stay there again!

Message: I loved pillows and Paradise because soon as you got there you felt like family and you felt secure. It was a beautiful setting with the lovely large room it felt relatively private from the other Suites. The bagel and jam and pineapple was a very sweet touch as well as all the amenities that are provided in the kitchen. The Oil of Olay body wash was the icing on the cake. The only thing that I would request is that if somebody says they do not want their room service it's more than likely because they want privacy and I was a little off put when I came in to find that things have been tidied up and put back into place while we were out for the day. It was a little embarrassing because I wasn't expecting that and that kind of made me uncomfortable. I'm sure if this practice changed I would absolutely give it a 10 out of 5 cuz it was beautiful and a perfect location. Old beds tho, with body imprint. And right off kitchen so u dont want to make any noise either as u basically share the space with the owners, sound wise.

Message: Very nice place, very well situated, fair price, good service, really nice landlord, I loved my stay there, I would probably stay there if I come back to Oahu. Kailua is the perfect place to be for surfers, windsurfers, kitesurfers, hikers, and just beach lovers :). Thanks again to Barbara and her husband for your warm welcome even at 2:00 am in the middle of the night :). and Yes you can park for free if you rent a car ;).

Message: Quiet beautiful location right in the heart of Kailua. We walked to beaches and shopping/restaurants and slept like babies. Nice pool and relaxing poolside when you don't feel like the beach. Had everything we needed in our room without extra expense

Message: Stayed for our honeymoon, can't be beat! Quiet, great location for exploring and then returning to a peaceful place for rest. Rooms are spacious and beats the hustle & bustle and expense of downtown. Close to restaurants and beach. What more do you want?.
