A Beautiful Edge of the World

Message: We stayed in the Crows Nest room. Very comfortable room, the mini fridge was a great addition, loved having the windows and patio door open the whole stay, the sounds of the frogs at night was so relaxing, unbeatable views and sunsets. Kana made the most amazing breakfasts, each served with fresh fruit, coffee or tea. We'd start each morning with a plan and Kurt would suggest additional sites or stops. He never steered us wrong, we had amazing adventures each day. Farmers market down the road on Sundays shouldn't be missed! The road has been mentioned several times but follow Kurt's instructions, take your time and you'll have no issues. Wouldn't stay anywhere else on the island, absolute perfection!

Message: This stay EXCEEDED our expectations! We had planned on staying at a 5-star resort but decided to cancel and spend our birthdays at the Edge instead (based on all the rave reviews). I wish we had done this last, because the rest of our vacation will not measure up to the wonderful experience in the Pacific Room and the hospitality from Kurt and Kana. I’ve never had a single front desk person at any hotel say “don’t go! ” upon checkout. We cannot wait to return. It was like leaving our favorite aunt and uncle’s house.

Message: Great bed and breakfast. Amazing view and location. Delicious and fresh breakfast and coffee grown on the property. Looking forward to returning.

Message: Great view from the Kona hillside in the Pacific Room. Huge room, huge bathroom, huge covered porch. Room was well maintained and in good working order. Very comfortable bed. Great breakfast by Kana each day. Wildlife sounds to lull you to sleep each night. And an interesting array of guests to engage. Plenty of good restaurants and activities in the area. Take care on the road down the hill; it’s not for the faint of heart.

Message: We had the best stay at a beautiful edge of the world! We were there for 6 nights and were able to day travel all around the island. The location is beautiful and so peaceful. Kurt and Kana are wonderful hosts! We had the best breakfasts to start our day and lots of great suggestions with how to fill the rest of our day. Would highly recommend and we hope to make our way back one day!

Message: Kurt, Kana and Jenna are wonderful hosts. So very accommodating & kind. Each day we were given a very healthy and delicious breakfast on the lanai overlooking the ocean below. The room was very comfortable & spacious. We were fortunate to be here during the Christmas holiday and Jenna treated all of the guests to her very skilled & lovely hula dancing. What a wonderful treat! I would highly recommend this B & B. Really a terrific place to stay.

Message: A great place to stay on a budget. The owners are very friendly and accommodating and Kurt’s wife (cannot remember her name, sorry) made us an excellent breakfast of macadamia nut (grown on site) pancakes with fresh fruit (also grown on site). They grow their own coffee as well. Don’t let the road down to it make you nervous, you’ll enjoy it. They have a nice big deck out back with an amazing view. Be sure to pet the kitty.
